Do not use tea tree oil, scented soap, castile/peppermint soap, oil-based soap, rubbing alcohol, antibacterial soap, hand sanitizer, dish soap, hydrogen peroxide bleach, or harsh chemicals as these may damage the silicone and cause irritation. Sizing, Comfort & Safety
Will Softcup fit me?
Softcup comes in two sizes, so you can rest easy knowing we’ve got the right size for you. If you have questions about sizing, please contact us at [email protected] we’re happy to help.
Does it leak?
Softcup should not leak if inserted properly. Softcup works by catching your blood as it comes out of your cervix. Menstrual fluid is collected rather than absorbed (like a tampon) reducing the likelihood of leaks.
How do I know if Softcup is inserted properly?
You can check that your cup is fully open in 1 of 3 ways:
1. Gently press your index finger on one side of your vaginal wall to create space for the cup to open.
2. Run your index finger around the base of the cup to feel if there are indents or pleats (which mean it hasn’t opened all the way).
3. Grab the base of the cup and rotate it one direction or the other.
Should I feel the stem when the cup is inserted properly?
The stem warms up to your body’s temperature as you wear it. It can take a few minutes but should be less noticeable as time goes on.
If you are still noticing the cup’s stem, it is customizable so you can tailor it to fit your body’s needs. Here are a few ways to make it more comfortable if you can feel it.
1. Move the cup higher up into your vagina. It should be less noticeable this way.
2. Remove your cup and trim the length of the stem by using clean scissors. It can be shortened or trimmed away completely.
3. If all else fails and you’re still uncomfortable, remove the cup and consult your physician.
Is it possible for Softcup to get stuck inside me?
No, Softcup cannot get lost inside of you.The cervical opening is far too narrow to allow an object to pass through.
If you have trouble removing Softcup, don’t panic. Try sitting on the toilet and bearing down with the pelvic muscles which will push Softcup towards the vaginal canal. Once in the vaginal canal, you will be able to comfortably pull it out.
Can Softcup cause cramping or discomfort?
No, Softcup should not cause cramping or discomfort when placed properly. In fact, you shouldn’t be able to feel it at all.
Unlike a tampon which is stiff and plugs the vaginal canal, Softcup is flexible and moves with the contractions of your body, helping to ease or eliminate the pain of cramping.
Product Details
What is it made out of?
Softcup is made of medical-grade silicone. The cup is non-toxic, hypoallergenic, and made without natural rubber latex or BPA.
Does Softcup have an expiration date?
Silicone is very durable but depending on factors unique to each person, the lifespan of the cup varies. Inspect your cup regularly for signs of deterioration, such as odor, severe discoloration, or a stick or powdery film. Also regularly inspect your cup for any tears in the stem or cup. Since it is a personal hygiene product, a general guideline is to replace it every two years or if the cup was worn while you experienced a yeast or bacterial infection.

About
Reinventing menstruation for people everywhere.
The Flex Company was created to give those who bleed alternative period products that prioritize comfort, support an active lifestyle, and lend a hand to Mother Earth.
Lauren Schulte
Founder & CEO
For 15 years, I silently suffered from persistent yeast infections, never realizing they may have been related to my tampon use. The reality is many of the physical discomforts we associate with our period come from products that fall short of our health and hygiene needs. For generations, we’ve accepted that our period weeks should be uncomfortable and embarrassing. It was time to change the status quo.
